Egg Drop

Before the last day of school Harvest Elementary had a 2nd grade "egg drop." The kids had to come up with contraptions that would hold an egg and protect it from cracking when thrown off the top of the school. So Rylee and Ryan discussed what they could make..they even got online and watched youtube videos of other people's creations. Finally they came up with half of a soda 12 pack box and a Zumiez shopping bag. They put the egg in a ziploc bag and filled the box up with smiths and walmart plastic grocery bags.

We did some trial dropping at home and what do you know?? The egg did not break!

Now...it was time for the school drop. We did everything the same, except for when we dropped it, we gently dropped it. The teachers at the school threw it off the top of the building like they were throwing meat to a bunch of wild animals!

But......

The egg survived!!! YAY Rylee!
