Literally. Over fall break (a couple weeks ago) I wanted to so some fun things with the kids. On Thursday we decided to go to Build-a-Bear Workshop. The girls had their own money and Finn had a 10 dollar gift card from his first Christmas, (he HATES stuffed animals so it was a bonus for the girls!). After Build-a-Bear Mya wanted to go into a jewelry store and look at earrings. She had been telling me for the last 2 months that she was going to get her ears pierced for her birthday....her birthday is in May! So we went to Icing and looked around. Mya decided that she wanted to get her ears pierced right then. I swear we were in the store for an hour because I just wanted to make sure it was something she was going to do; usually our girls get in the chair and then change their mind...multiple times (Yes, we have tried to pierce the ears more than once!). She was so brave and her eyes only watered when it was over. She chose a cute pair of earrings, little yellow flowers. Afterwards Rylee wanted to get hers done, but I told her no because we had been in the store for so long and I figured she wouldn't do it. She's a wuss...this is my daughter who when we went to get flu shots told me she was going to kick my head off and made daddy AND 2 nurses hold her down...for a FLU SHOT! She's a spaz but we love her!
Brave Mya
Brave Mya and Proud Mommy!

Still brave...

Still brave...she said her eyes were "just watering."

On Friday we did our annual visit to the pumpkin patch. The kids always have a great time and its cheap and simple. I even offered to go to a more expensive place this year and the girls wanted to keep up our tradition. We'll see what happens next year.

After the pumpkin patch we decided to go out to eat and while we were driving to the restaurant, Rylee kept passing notes up to us asking if we could go to the mall and get her ears pierced. We said we'd think about it (figuring she would forget). Well, sure enough, after eating we ended up at the mall! I was really suprised at how brave she was! Rylee chose round blue earrings. She didn't want to be "too girly."
Brave Rylee
Still Brave...can't believe she is going thru with it!
and....SCORE! SHE DID IT!

Looks like you guys had a fun weekend!! Piercings bears and pumpkins what else could you ask for? =)
Where do your daughters get their spunk? I laughed out loud when Rylee said she'd "kick your head off". Ha! Your girls are adorable! I love little Mya, what a cutie!
What a fun weekend! Rylee and Mya look so cute with their earrings. Good Job girls, you are so brave!
Looks like you survived the Dr. office, since I have seen you recently, and you still have a head. That is so funny what Rylee said. It made me laugh out loud. Your kids are so dang funny!!
I love the way your girls' personalities show in their pictures! You have got such cute kids!!!!
They are so brave! Cassia still won't pierce her ears. Jessalyn was brave enough to do it once, but hated putting earrings in her ears so now they've closed up!
They look very pretty.
I LOVE that pumpkin patch. We used to go every year when we lived out there. I wanted to go this year, but it was just too far to drive.
I'm so proud of you Mya and Rylee; you were so good at getting your ears pierced and I love your selection of earrings. I wonder when the Finn will ask to have his ears pierced so he can have some bling also? Great pictures Kahlia; I wish you were my mommy--your kids are so lucky to have two great parents!
Love,
Grandma A
Look at Mya and her beautiful earings! And Rylee, she's so brave. It looks like she could sleep through the entire process! Jajaja!
