For Christmas Ryan's mom bought us season tickets to the Hale Theatre and last night we went to see "Civil War" (which was wonderful by the way.) We left the kids home with my mom and we were gone for about 5 and a half hours. We went with Ryans mom and dad and his brother and sisters..it was really fun. Back at home everything was going smooth...the girls were watching movies and having a great time. Finn was singing a different tune. Because we were gone so long, it meant that he was going to have to take a bottle for one of his feedings. Apparently he was NOT going to give in. My mom said she tried for an hour and a half to get him to take a bottle (I even pumped for her!) and he just screamed the whole time. Poor little guy. The sad thing is that he used to take a bottle just fine and then we just got lazy and stopped giving him a bottle..now he wont take one at all. Anyway, when I had called to check in, mom said that he would not take the bottle but he was milking his hand to the point that he had hickies. I could just imagine the little guy sucking on his hand, crying...it broke my heart. Needless to say he was excited to see us when we got home and I nursed him right to sleep.

But he survived and did great!!! Grandma loved him all night....*smile*
Awww...how sad! I'm sure he was so happy to see you! =) But at least you guys had a great night out!!
Poor Finn, sometimes i think it's just better not to call and check on the kids, I'd rather enjoy my date in peaceful ignorance :)
My kids were bad at taking the bottle too- so they were basically my little sidekicks until they started eating rice cereal and other solids. I'm with Lindsay- I hate calling to hear a crying kid!!
My kids were all the same way! I hate to call when I am out. I always make Nate do it. I guess I would rather not know too!
I can't get over that chubby little hand. I would of felt the same way. I guess you should never leave him again :)
Jajaja! Cool! That is all.
