And on a side note. The other day the kids were playing some kind of tug-o-war game with blankets. Rylee accidentally elbowed Mya in the face. Nice shiner right?

The family that gardens together....
That's rights....we're gardening fools! Really, I'm totally kidding. I find this funny since I couldn't keep a plant alive if my life depended on it. This is really Ryan's doing. He took some tomato and pepper seeds up to his moms house so she could start them growing and decided that it would be fun to do the same for us. Its actually been really fun to plant the seeds and watch them grow overnight. So far we have started tomatoes, red peppers, pumpkins, white pumpkins, banana squash, butternut squash, Anaheim peppers, jalapenos, and banana peppers...we are also going to do cucumbers. I think Ryan also has this idea that our kids are going to go door to door and sell plants..GREAT, just what this neighborhood needs, more solicitors! At least they will be super cute solicitors, right? We'll see how that works out, haha! The other night we were all in the basement transplanting some of the plants that had outgrown their little containers. It was a fun family chore.

a little messy....but I got over it.
Ryan bought this light fixture from our old neighbors at a yard sale. Now it definitely feels legit.
and Finn....He is turning into a little monster..He wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a picture. Heaven help me!

I'm sure Rylee feels really, really, REALLY bad!

Such a good idea to do starters inside before you start outside. You guys are going to have such an awesome garden. I always say I am going to start a garden, but 8 years later still haven't :(. Ryans idea to have the kids sell the starters is awesome. I would definitely buy some. We have lots of little kids selling lots of things, but I have never seen one selling starters. He may just be on to something :)
That is so sad about Mya's poor eye, but I just had to laugh at the last picture of Rylee kissing her elbow. That was so funny. Hope Mya's eye is doing better!!
I always say I'll have a garden too, but then I think, Ya right! Look where I live! On the corner and behind a park... Kids have serious boundary issues when it comes to my yard. I'm afraid any garden I attempted would be immediately sabotaged. I have no idea how to garden anyway :)
That is quite the shiner and Rylee looks really sad about it! haha!!
Good luck on your garden!! I'm jealous :)
